With its sexy national dance, world-renowned wine, beef, leather and gorgeous porteƱos, Buenos Aires has become a crucial stop for savvy LGBT travelers. Add to that the first legal same-sex marriages in Latin America, and get ready to tango to this hemisphere’s new “it” destination. Once rich (in the early 1900s, the country was ranked among the top 10 most powerful nations on Earth), Argentina has slipped behind many other developing nations. Still, Buenos Aires boasts an architect’s dreamscape of European-style building, some of which are being lovingly refurbished, as well as several up-and-coming LGBT-popular neighborhoods with names seemingly tailor-made for gay travelers, like the following three in Palermo: Hollywood, Soho and Queens.
